Birth and Education
He was born to Mrs. Seethamma and Mr. Sundararao on 15th June 1927 (Wednesday of the first full moon of the month of Prabhava) in Prakasam district. Born in Markapuram, he was educated in Ongole, Guntur and Waltair. He graduated with an M.A. from Andhra University in 1948.


Profession and preaching journey
He continued to lecture on literary and non-dualistic Vedanta in many government colleges from Anantapur to Srikakulam, and retired in Kadapa in 1982.


Advaita Gnana Bhodha
Vedanta Vidya Dhurini Brahmasri Yallamraju Srinivasa Rao is a master in explaining the intricacies of Shankara Bhashya in a way that even the common man can understand. After his retirement, the Guru lived in Hyderabad and taught his disciples the Dasopanishads, Brahmasutra Bhashya, Bhagavad Gita and many other Prakhara texts. In the year 2001, the Guru shifted his residence to Vijayawada. In Vijayawada, he once again taught the Prakhara texts, Manasollasamu, Vedanta Panchadashi, Tripura Rahasya, Sri Lalita Sahasranama, Sri Vishnu Sahasranama and many other Prakhara texts in a unique way, harmonizing them with Advaita.


Videhamukti
After imparting Advaita knowledge for 60 years, Guru Ji attained Videhamukti on 19 December 2015. He is a great and venerable one who has provided the path of salvation to his disciples through his sermons and writings.


Our effort
Guru Ji never tried to gain publicity during his lifetime. The great sage who lived away from propaganda and made continuous efforts to impart the Advaita knowledge he had achieved to the world with the goal of Advaita inquiry as his life goal. Our humble effort is to provide these discourses, which are part of his knowledge sacrifice, to the seekers who are interested in self-inquiry and the path to salvation through this Website.
